Level 1- Start Sailing

Practical sailing on a sailboat.
This level will be held aboard one of our sailing yachts, starting at 36 feet, with a maximum of 5 people.

The following subjects will be addressed

• Names and Nautical terms
• Maneuvering a sailboat
• Safety onboard
• Rules to avoid collisions
• Knots
• Nautical ceremonies

Objectives

At the end you will be able to:

• Helm a sailboat
• Perform tack and gybe maneuvers
• Practice some of the main knots onboard
• Act in case of an emergency aboard (man overboard, fire, flooding, and gas leak)
• Collaborate in the docking & undocking maneuvers

Duration

Two full days of practical sailing

Requirements

• No experience or knowledge of sailing is required.
• Over 16 years old. Minors must always be accompanied by an adult
